Legal notice

This product website is operated by SolutionMAX. The following information identifies the operator under article 10 of Spain’s Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE).

This notice covers amfora.solutionmax.net, its documentation and installer downloads. This is a product information website, separate from the Amfora file sharing application.

What you buy

Amfora itself is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and costs nothing. What is sold on this site is a brandpack: a signed key that lets an installation run without the "Powered by Amfora" credit and switches on the paid customization (a background image for the public pages and custom CSS). Optionally, a setup service: we install Amfora with you and answer questions for 30 days. Version 2026-09-22 of these terms.

Delivery is by email to the address given at checkout, normally within minutes of payment and in any case within one working day. Prices are in euros and include applicable VAT; the total and the tax treatment are shown before you pay. Business customers with a valid EU VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge where the law allows it. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.

A brandpack removes the SolutionMAX brand from the interface. It does not transfer ownership of the software, does not change the Apache License 2.0, and does not remove the NOTICE file with the attribution to the original author, which stays in every copy of the source and the image. Everything the licence already lets you do with Amfora, you can still do without buying anything.

Keys are Ed25519 signatures verified locally by your installation. No key phones home, and nothing on our side has to be reachable for it to keep working. Requirements: Amfora 2.0 or newer. If a key is lost, write to mail@solutionmax.net from the address you ordered with and we reissue it.

Right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer in the EU you normally have fourteen days from the day of the order to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason.

A brandpack is digital content that is delivered at once. Checkout therefore asks you to confirm that you want delivery to start immediately and that you acknowledge losing the right of withdrawal once the key has been sent. That confirmation is recorded with your order and repeated in the delivery email. If you would rather keep the fourteen days, do not complete checkout: write to mail@solutionmax.net and we invoice you and send the key after the period has passed.

For the setup service the right of withdrawal stays in place for the whole fourteen days, also when the work has started. If you withdraw after asking us to start, you pay a proportionate amount for the work done up to your notice; if you withdraw before we start, you pay nothing.

To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement before the period ends to mail@solutionmax.net or to the postal address in the legal notice. We confirm receipt by email and refund within fourteen days of your statement, with the payment method you used, at no cost to you. You may use this model text, but you do not have to:

To SolutionMAX, Carrer de Creta 105, 03130 Santa Pola (Alicante), Spain, [email protected]: I hereby withdraw from my contract for [brandpack / setup service], ordered on [date], order reference [reference]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].

The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases made in the course of a business or profession.

Refunds and defects

If a key does not activate on a supported version and we cannot make it work, you get your money back, whether or not the withdrawal period is still running. A withdrawal waiver never waives that. The same applies when what you received is not what this page describes: EU rules on the conformity of digital content give you the right to have it fixed, to a price reduction, or to end the contract and be refunded.

Refunds go back to the payment method used, within fourteen days. After a refund the refunded key must no longer be used; an offline key cannot be switched off remotely, and we rely on you for that.

Complaints: write to mail@solutionmax.net. We acknowledge within two working days and answer within a month. We are not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme. Spanish law applies, without taking away the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live, and new terms never change a purchase already made.

Privacy

The data controller for this website and enquiries sent to SolutionMAX is the operator identified above. You can contact us at mail@solutionmax.net about your personal data.

When you visit

Delivering and protecting the website involves processing your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request and technical browser/request information. Our hosting and security providers may record these details to operate the service, diagnose errors and investigate abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

The same applies when an installation command downloads the installer from this domain: it makes an ordinary web request. Visiting this website does not upload files from an Amfora installation to SolutionMAX.

When you contact us

The email links open your own mail application. We receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your question and follow up on your request. General enquiries are handled on the basis of legitimate interest; requests for a quote or service may be processed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (article 6(1)(b)).

Contact is optional. We need a reply address and enough information to respond; please do not send passwords, access tokens or private files that are not needed for your enquiry. This website has no contact form submission service, customer accounts or payment checkout.

Who helps operate the website

Cloudflare operates an international network, so technical request data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare describes its international transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its privacy policy. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

We do not use advertising trackers or build marketing profiles from your visits. Links to GitHub, Buy Me a Coffee and other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices; they are not embedded trackers on this site.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose: technical records are needed while diagnosing faults or investigating security incidents; enquiry correspondence is needed while answering your request and handling related follow up. A record may need to be retained longer where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Contact us for the retention period applicable to your specific enquiry or request data.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Send your request to mail@solutionmax.net; we may need proportionate information to verify your identity.

You can complain to Spain’s Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) or to the supervisory authority where you live or work. This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Cookies & local storage

The Amfora marketing pages and documentation do not set application cookies or use local storage for tracking. They load no analytics, advertising pixels or externally hosted fonts. Fonts, screenshots and scripts are served from this website.

Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies if it presents a challenge or enables a protection feature. These serve security purposes rather than advertising. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation for details.

No optional tracking is enabled, so these pages do not present a tracking consent banner. If optional analytics or other consent based technologies are introduced, this notice and the consent controls must be updated before they are activated.

Your Amfora installation

Amfora is self hosted software. The organisation operating an installation chooses its hosting, storage, users and retention rules. That organisation is responsible for explaining how it processes account details, uploaded files, share links and any sender or recipient information collected through its installation.

This website’s privacy notice does not replace the operator’s own notice. If you received an Amfora download or upload link, contact the organisation that sent it for questions about your files or personal data. Running Amfora on your own infrastructure does not by itself make SolutionMAX the controller of your installation’s data.

For deployment and access controls, see the deployment guide and administration documentation.

Software licence & availability

Amfora’s source is licensed under Apache License 2.0. Separate third party components retain their own licences; see the third party notices and the bundled AGPL-3.0 licence.

The source repository and releases are publicly available. No GitHub account or access request is required to download the source. This site does not sell licence keys. Contact SolutionMAX for installation or support services. Any separately agreed paid service has its own terms, provided before purchase.

The software’s warranty and liability provisions are set out in its licence, subject to any mandatory rights that apply.
